SDDC Manager Fails to Fetch Cluster Data Due to Expired/Mismatched Component Passwords

Issue/Introduction

The password management interface is showing multiple resources disconnected:

Environment

SDDC Manager 5.2.x

Cause

SDDC Manager retained the old credential, which was reapplied, overriding the updated password this caused a password mismatch between vCenter and SDDC Manager, leading to connectivity and authentication issues.

Resolution

Password remediation was performed in SDDC Manager, restoring connectivity

  • Log in to SDDC Manager at  https://<sddc_manager_fqdn>  with a user assigned the  Admin  role.
  • In the left pane, navigate to  Security Password management .
  • On the  Password management  page, filter the list to include all required accounts.
  • In the table, click the vertical ellipses for the account whose password you want to remediate, and select  Remediate password .
  • In the  Update password  dialog box, enter the new password you want to set for the user, and click  Update .
  • Repeat the procedure for the remaining accounts.

    Additional Information

    Note: Ensure all future password changes are performed through SDDC Manager to maintain synchronization.
