Issue/Introduction

When using "Quick-start" you are not able to select a standard virtual switch for the vSAN network configuration.

Environment

VMware vSAN (All versions)

Resolution

The use of a DVS is required for QuickStart network configuration as it allows for uniform deployment, monitoring and configuration of all current and future hosts in the vSAN cluster. Standard switching is not allowed for use with QuickStart as it does not allow for the same.

If you modify any network settings outside of QuickStart, this hampers your ability to add and configure more hosts to the cluster using the QuickStart workflow and the below vSAN Health Service warning will be triggered.

vSAN -- vSAN Healthcheck -- Host compliance check for hyperconverged Cluster configuration

Do not use the  "QuickStart" option to configure vSAN if standard switching is required. You will need to manually configure the vSAN cluster
