Issue/Introduction

  • During the installation of VCF Automation, ops-log was removed. After resolving this issue with Automation, an error is received when trying to redeploy the ops-logs.
    Error Code: LCMVRNICONFIG90044
    Failed to get Auth token for Operations-networks. Try after some time.
    Error occurred while fetching Auth Token
    
    java.lang.RuntimeException: Error occurred while fetching Auth Token
            at com.vmware.vrealize.lcm.plugin.core.vrni.task.serviceregistry.VrniCreateServiceAccountTask.execute(VrniCreateServiceAccountTask.java:99) [vmlcm-vrniplugin-core-9.0.0.0-SNAPSHOT.jar!/:?]
  • VCF Operations for Logs UI is available and the Management > Cluster page shows all nodes connected 

  • Clicking Retry on the error results in the same error.

Resolution

Workaround

Delete the failed deployment from VCF Operations and then import the VCF Operations for Logs cluster

  1. Log in to the VCF Operations UI and navigate to Fleet Management > > Lifecycle > VCF Management > Components

  2. Click the vertical three dots button next to operations-logs and click Delete

  3. Leave the Delete associated VMs from vCenter checkbox unchecked and click Delete

  4. Verify all stages of the task complete successfully.

  5. Navigate to Fleet Management > > Lifecycle > VCF Management > Overview

  6. In the operations-logs tile, click Add

  7. Select the Import radio button and click Next

  8. Fill in the required details in the Components wizard and click Next

  9. Review the Summary and click Submit

  10. Verify all stages of the task complete successfully
