Issue/Introduction

  • Test Connection for Aria Operations for Logs account shows expired certificate in Aria Operations.
  • Verify Aria Operations for Logs certificate validity using below command:
    echo "" | keytool -list -keystore /usr/lib/loginsight/application/etc/3rd_config/keystore -rfc 2> /dev/null | openssl x509 -noout -enddate

Aria Operations for Logs 8.18.x

Cause

Aria Operations for Logs certificate is expired.

Resolution

In order to allow the Aria Operations for Logs certificate to be accepted in Aria Operations, the certificate must be renewed. 

  1. Refer to Install a custom certificate in VMware Aria Operations for Logs 8.12 and Later KB article to renew Aria Operations for Logs certificate.
  2. Follow procedure in KB article How to renew an adapter certificate or clear the Expired Certificates banner in Aria Operations to import new certificate from endpoint, ensuring that you import new certificate from endpoint before deleting expired certificate
