Cannot configure replication on target vSphere Replication server

Issue/Introduction

Enhanced replication is failing

Once trying to create enhanced replication we see error message:

The vSphere Replication management server cannot configure replication on target vSphere Replication server (id: 'host-xxxx', name: 'hostX.mydomain.local') and target broker '#.#.#.#'.

 

Environment

VMware Live Recovery 9.0.4

 

Cause

In logs we can see entries similar to this which are pointing to networking problems:

Netcat test is failing:

nc -zv -s [Source-IP] [Target-P] 32032

nc -zv -s #.#.#.#  #.#.#.# 32032

nc: connect to #.#.#.# port 32032 (tcp) failed: Connection timed out

Resolution

Engage internal networking team.

Netcat test shall be successful
