Issue/Introduction

Problem:

Date Attributes (such as Avail Start, Baseline Start, Created Date) set to Display Type of Date Range marked hidden in filter incorrectly still display in the filter. This is reproducible in out of the box portlets such as Weekly Detail as well as custom portlets.

Note: This is reproducible in multiple date attributes including Avail Start, Avail Finish, Baseline Start, Created Date.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Go to Administration -> Portlets -> Weekly Detail
2. Select the List Filter Section tab then Layout
3. Move Avail Start from the Available column over to one of the Selected columns and click Save
4. Select the 'List Filter Section' tab then 'Fields'
5. Click the properties icon next to 'Avail Start' and enter the following:
     a. Set 'Date Range' to 'Display Type' and then populate the 'Filter Default From' and 'Filter Default To' fields. In this example:
            I. Filter Default From: Rolling Date -> Start of Current Year
II. Filter Default To: Rolling Date -> End of Current Year
      b. Check the check box next to 'Hidden in Filter'
6. Click 'Save and Return'
7. Go to Home -> Resource Planning -> Allocations -> Weekly Detail portlet
8. Click the '+' icon next to the Weekly Detail portlet to expand the filter section

Expected Result: Avail Start is hidden from view in the filter section

Actual Result: Avail Start is still shown in the filter

Environment:

Applies to CA PPM 14.2/14.3/14.4

Cause:

Caused by CLRT-80332

Resolution:

This issue is currently under investigation as CLRT-80332.

Workaround:

Set the Display Type to 'Date' instead of 'Date Range'. This yields expected results of the field being hidden.

Example for Weekly Detail Portlet:

1. Go to Administration -> Portlets -> Weekly Detail
2. Select the List Filter Section tab then Layout
3. Move Avail Start from the Available column over to one of the Selected columns and click Save
4. Select the 'List Filter Section' tab then 'Fields'
5. Click the properties icon next to 'Avail Start' and set the Display Type to 'Date' instead of 'Date Range'.
