Upgrade precheck of VMware Aria Automation 8.18.1 to VCF Automation 9.x fails on existence check of cluster and datastore

Issue/Introduction

Upgrade precheck of VMware Aria Automation 8.18.1 to VCF Automation 9.x fails for the below checks :

• Existence check for a cluster in the given vCenter and data center.
• Existence check for datastore in the given vCenter, data center and cluster.
  
  

Environment

VCF Operations Fleet Management 9.x

Cause

Upgrade of VMware Aria Automation 8.18.1 cluster nodes managed by multiple vCenter is not supported.

Resolution

This issue can be resolved by following the below steps :

1. Migrate all the Aria Automation 8.18.1 virtual machines in the cluster to a single vCenter.
2. Perform Inventory Sync from Fleet Management .
3. Re-run the failed precheck from Fleet Management and proceed with the upgrade.
