Issue/Introduction

PVC failed to resize. Stuck in FileSystemResizePending.

Kubectl output shows PVC is not at desired size. kubectl describe shows PVC state is FileSystemResizePending.  PV size has updated correctly. Dmesg -H on node attached to PVC shows "mounting fs with errors, running e2tsck is recommended.

Cause

Ext4 partition filesystem cannot be mounted.

PVC is mounted to worker node successfully but filesystem is unable to be mounted.

Resolution

Volume filesystem is corrupted. Restore from backup.

 Linux filesystem errors on volume mount indicate volume is corrupted. Restore from backup to resume operation.
