Issue/Introduction

After the PAMSC endpoint was upgraded on Solaris servers, the nscd service is being restarted more often than before the upgrade.

Environment

PAM Server Control CP6 and CP7 on Solaris

Cause

Starting with PAMSC CP6, the logic of the *sebuildla.sh scripts called during user modification was updated for Solaris to call svcadm and restart nscd.

Resolution

The logic was updated in PAMSC CP7 build 124 to call nscd -i passwd rather than restart nscd. Download the 124 build from this link and upgrade the endpoint to resolve the issue.
