After upgrading a Standalone VMware Aria Automation Orchestrator instance to version 8.18.1, you may observe that the Git Integration feature and the .zip Import option under the script tab for created actions are missing. This indicates a loss of advanced feature functionality.
When attempting to run an Action, the system may generate an error in the vco-app-server.log that includes:Wrapped java.lang.IllegalStateException: Polyglot scripting is not supported with the current license.
Additionally, logs may also show that the manual license record is corrupted or missing: com.vmware.o11n.license.retrievers.ManualLicenseRetriever - Manual license record is corrupted. It is configured as non manual license provider MANUAL.
Standalone Orchestrator Appliance 8.18.x
The advanced features of the Standalone Orchestrator, such as Git integration, multi-language support (Polyglot scripting), and the ability to import a .zip file for an action, require a valid manual license to be present. Navigating to the licensing portion reveals that no manual license is present. After the upgrade, if the system is unable to locate or properly read a license, these features are disabled.
The Standalone Orchestrator relies on a direct, correctly formatted license for advanced features. Manually setting the license correctly registers the necessary entitlements within the upgraded 8.18.1 environment, immediately enabling the previously missing features, including Git Integration and Polyglot scripting support
