Interface Admin and Oper status Unknown

Issue/Introduction

None of the interfaces are polling properly, the AdminStatus and OperStatus are both showing "UNKNOWN"

Environment

All supported release of Smarts

Cause

Connectivity setting is missing for device in System Resource Group (SRG) hence fault instrumentation for interface was not getting created. 

Resolution

Make sure the SRG has Connectivity setting added to the group to which device belongs to.  

For instance if device is part of Firewall-Processor SRG group then under settings Connectivity should be added. 

 

Note: "Firewall-Processor" is a custom group in the above screenshot and the same may vary as per user environments.
