Malfunction in Alert Wait Cycles using Microsoft SQL Server adapter

Issue/Introduction

Alert wait cycles fail to operate properly with the Microsoft SQL Server Adapter.

Environment

VMware Aria Operations 8.18.x

Cause

Microsoft SQL Server adapter is sending the same metric value three times during a single collection cycle. This incorrectly shortens the symptom wait cycle.

Resolution

A workaround is to set the wait/cancel cycle for the Condition to '1 and 1' and adjust the alert wait/cancel cycle as required.
