Administrators may need to update the default Single Sign-On (SSO) credentials.
This article details changing the [email protected] password.
The process uses the vSphere Client interface. This applies when the current password is known.
vCenter Server 8.0
Follow these steps to update the password using the vSphere Client.
Log in to the vSphere Client with the current [email protected] credentials.
Navigate to the top right corner of the browser window.
Click on the username [email protected] to open the menu.
Select Change Password from the list.
New password need to use atleast 8 and at most 20 characters, including at least 1 lowercase, 1 uppercase, 1 number and 1 of each of following: special character (@%+/'!#$^?:,(){}[]~-_.).
