GSLB sites out of sync after renaming Tenant

Issue/Introduction

GSLB site goes out of sync if existing tenant name is changed on both leader and follower site.

Environment

Avi version 30.x

Cause

• The customer has updated the tenant name on both leader and follower GSLB site.
• For example, say the tenant name was changed from Tenant1 to Tenant2.
• The below log would be seen in the follower site /var/lib/avi/log/remote_site_watcher.INFO
  

   remotesitewatcher/remote_site_watcher_api_client.go:129 getTenantUUID failed to resolve tenant name: Tenant1 with errr: record not found
  

  
  

 

Resolution

Check the name of the tenant in the controller datastore.

Workaround: Warm Reboot the controller cluster

Login to CLI of the controller

Execute the below commands

#shell
>terminal unhide
>reboot warm

This would warm reboot the cluster with no impact to datapath traffic. 

Note: The controller UI will not be available for some time.

 

Fix: The issue has been fixed in 31.2.1 and later versions.
