Additional Information

Starting with VCF 9.0, we are consolidating from multiple separate products for infrastructure deployment, management, and monitoring into a single unified VCF product with multiple interconnected components. Previously (before VCF 9.0), integrations relied on regular user accounts. This posed a risk: if a user account password was changed, the integration between components would break, requiring manual intervention to update credentials across all affected components.

To eliminate this problem, we have transitioned from using regular user accounts to using system-created service accounts for VCF component integrations.

As part of the automated workflow, VCF Operations will now use service accounts when creating vCenter and NSX adapter instances for 9.0 components. Furthermore, NSX service accounts in version 9.0 are configured with an infinite expiration time, meaning there is no need to manage password expiration for these accounts.
