Clients machines are unable to obtain IP addresses via DHCP.
Smart DHCP appears to be configured correctly.
The issue is resolved when a rule allowing DHCP traffic is added to the SEP firewall.
Multiple DHCP servers are present in the environment.
SEP 14.3.x
Our investigation confirmed that the firewall is blocking DHCP traffic due to a Smart DHCP issue that occurs when multiple DHCP servers are present in the network environment.
We have identified the root cause and a fix will be available in newer versions of SEP. We are currently assessing the appropriate next steps for existing versions.
In the meantime, please create a dedicated firewall rule to allow DHCP traffic (UDP ports 67 and 68) and it will continue to operate correctly.
