Issue/Introduction

Introduction:

- We have Siteminder 12 SP3 running for a while using the Admin UI. I want to register the FSS UI now.

- Admin UI has been working great:

http://hostname:8080/iam/siteminder/console/

- But the FSS UI does not download / appear. I already created the 4.x agent

http://hostname:8080/siteminder

The FSS UI can be used to manage Policy Store objects as they had been managed prior to the release of the SiteMinder Administrative UI.  The Administrative UI is typically recommended to be used, however, in order to install the FSS Administrative UI, there are a set of additional steps that need to be taken following a Policy Server installation.

Instructions:

Following the installation of the Policy Server, perform the following steps:

Windows:

1) Run the "Policy Server Configuration Wizard" as administrator

2) On the "Choose Features" menu, check the box next to "Web Server(s)" and click Next

3) On the "Web Server" menu, click "Next" (do not uncheck "Microsoft IIS 7.x")

4) On the "Choose Password Services" menu, click "Next"

5) On the "Pre-Configuration Summary", click "Install"

6) When prompted, restart your machine.

7) Once the machine is back up and running, check your CA -> SiteMinder directory under all programs, and you should find the FSS Admin UI

Linux:

1) Run the "Policy Server Configuration Wizard"

2) On the "Choose Features" menu, ensure "Web Server(s)" is selected, and move to the next menu

3) On the "Web Server" menu, do not deselect anything and move to the next menu

4) On the "Choose Password Services" menu, move to the next menu

5) On the "Pre-Configuration Summary", choose "Install"

6) When prompted, restart your machine.

7) Once the machine is back up and running, check the install directory for the "FSS Administrative UI"
