Issue/Introduction

Customers may encounter a situation where Day 2 actions are grayed out and unavailable after successfully performing an "Upgrade Kubernetes Version" action on a Kubernetes cluster deployment.

The issue is observed in the UI: from inside the deployment, when selecting the actions menu on the cluster, the Day 2 actions are visible but are grayed out and cannot be selected.

Kubernetes (Cloud_Tanzu_Cluster) deployment

Cause

During the upgrade process, even without visible errors, the deployment state in the catalog database is incorrectly set to PARTIAL instead of OK. This partial state prevents the Day 2 actions from being available in the UI.

Resolution

This issue requires a manual database modification. Please open a support case and reference this article for assistance.
