vIDM cluster in failed state due to patching Aria Suite lifecycle 8.18 to patch 5 prior to patching vIDM with patch CSP-102092

Issue/Introduction

Incorrect patching order of Aria suite lifecycle and vIDM may encounter several unwanted issues, right order and prerequisites are described in KB article to follow: CSP-102092 Patch Instructions for VMware Identity Manager 3.3.7 and VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle 8.18.0 Patch 5

• pgService fails to start with following error:
  pgpool [####] : [23-2] ####-##-## : pid ####: DETAIL: watchdog does not holds the quorum
pgpool [####] : [24-1] ####-##-## : pid ####: FATAL: failed to create a backend connection
pgpool [####] : [24-2] ####-##-## : pid ####: DETAIL: executing failover on backend
• Remediate cluster does not resolve the health status of the vIDM cluster.

Environment

VMware Identity Manager 3.3.7

Cause

Any Day-2 operations performed from LCM after patching to patch 5 and prior to patching vIDM causes partial patching misconfigurations to vIDM cluster.
