Brownfield import task "Import provided infrastructure into SDDC Manager as a management domain" fails during install of VCF 9.0.1

Issue/Introduction

During an installation of VCF 9.0.1 while leveraging a brownfield import of an existing vCenter Server, "Import provided infrastructure into SDDC Manager as a management domain" task fails.  You may see similar errors presented such as the following: 

• Import operation for convert with is ####-####-####-#### failed internally
• error request helper 31 result status code from set datasource 400 
• sddc_manager_helper 864 could not configure datasource

Environment

VCF 9.0.1

Cause

These errors are typically caused by a firewall / port / DNS related issues.  

Resolution

1. Confirmation of the port requirements should be done to ensure the physical infrastructure is set to allow proper communications between the different VCF components.

2. Ensure no duplicate DNS records exist for the ESXi hosts or vCenter server in DNS server.
