Brownfield import during install of VCF 9.0.1 failing to import existing resources

Issue/Introduction

During an installation of VCF 9.0.1 while leveraging a brownfield import of an existing vCenter Server, the process will fail.  You may see similar errors presented such as the following: 

• error request helper 31 result status code from set datasource 400 
• sddc_manager_helper 864 could not configure datasource  
• debug sddc manager helper 865 baseline datasource validation failed

 

Environment

VCF 9.0.1

Cause

These errors are typically caused by a firewall / port connectivity issue.  

Resolution

Confirmation of the port requirements should be done to ensure the physical infrastructure is set to allow proper communications between the different VCF components.
