Resolution

  • For policy related information related to service after end of support see the Broadcom Maintenance Policy Handbook
  • For information on the latest release of  VMware NSX, please visit the VMware NSX Product page at Broadcom Support Online https://support.broadcom.com/.
  • When a product version reaches End of Service, customers are only entitled to self-service support. If the customer is current with their maintenance or subscription term, then they may continue to utilize all Self-Service content located at https://support.broadcom.com/.
  • During the Technical guidance phase a customer is entitled to support. Technical guidance is the step before some products enter their End of Service phase. If a customer is entitled to Technical Guidance then they can open a case to receive support and workarounds for low-severity (2-4) issues on supported configurations only. This phase is intended for usage by customers operating in stable environments with systems that are operating under reasonably stable loads. There are a few key points to be aware of:
    • No further patches will be released.
    • Support cannot open reports with engineering for assistance.
  • Both in the EoS and EoTG phases customers are ineligible for sev-1 support in the majority of cases. If you are not sure if your case is entitled to support, please discuss this matter with your Broadcom Account Team.
  • If you would like to explore Services assistance with your upgrade or the availability of Extended Support please reach out to the Broadcom Customer Value Team or your Sales Director.
