Issue/Introduction

• There are more than 5 clusters/groups simultaneously upgraded during the NSX 4.x upgrade.
• In 3.x the maximum number of simultaneous upgrade were limited to 5 clusters/groups

Cause

This is by design, from VMware NSX 4.X onwards the maximum number of simultaneous upgrade is changed. The maximum limit for a simultaneous upgrade is twenty host upgrade unit groups and five hosts per group.

Resolution

Please find the possible number of simultaneous upgrade with different upgrade options available for ESXi host upgrade in VMware NSX 4.x.
