Issue/Introduction

VM (Virtual Machine) Disk Usage alarm, which is set to trigger when xx kbps is exceeded, is not triggered for a virtual machine on vSAN.

Environment

VMware vCenter Server 7.x
VMware vCenter Server 8.x

Cause

VM (Virtual Machine) Disk Usage refers to disk.usage counter, but this counter is not implemented for virtual machines on vSAN.

 

Resolution

Currently there is no resolution.
