Issue/Introduction

  • Unable to remove an IPFIX Firewall Collector for a third-party application no longer in use.
  • The collector is listed with an IP address and a port number other than the port 2055 that Aria Operations for Networks uses (i.e. xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:7802)
  • The option to delete the collector is not available.

Environment

VMware NSX

Cause

The collector is still referenced by object path infra/ipfix-dfw-profiles/global

Resolution

  • Use API command DELETE https://<nsx-manager-fqdn-or-IP>/policy/api/v1/infra/ipfix-dfw-profiles/global
  • Verify in the NSX Manager UI that the collector is no longer present
