NSX Manager Pre-check Error: UC MP - Check if NSX Manager has any groups that contain physical server members

Issue/Introduction

• When attempting to update NSX Manager from VCF 9 SDDC Manager UI, the following ERROR is received in the SDDC Manager:  

Check if NSX Manager has any groups that contain physical server members

NSX Manager cannot be upgraded. There are <X> groups that contain physical server members which are not supported. Please remove the physical server members from the groups before performing upgrade.

Address the nsx bundle precheck failure and re-run the prechecks

 

Environment

VCF 9.0

Cause

Physical server object/member in group is not supported in 9.0

Resolution

• Review NSX Manager group memberships in the NSX Manager UI --> Inventory --> Groups and check for criteria/memberships that contain physical server objects
• Remove any physical server membership objects from configured Groups
• Re-run the Pre-checks from the SDDC Manager
