How to add a LMP Key to VM Products

Issue/Introduction

The LMP license for VM is expiring on Dec 15th, 2025. We have the new keys available which is valid till 2029. Could you please assist us on how to apply the new keys?

Resolution

From userid VMANAGER you can add the keys via the VMLMPKEY EXEC. For more information please review the following documentation Mainframe VM Product Manager 1.2 - Managing LMP Keys. This documentation will show you how to add each LMPKEY line, such as the following example:

 Alternatively, you can XEDIT the CALMP KEYS file directly if you press

It's important to note that the first record in the CALMP KEYS file must be the SITEID record.

Likewise you need to make sure your products are running at a minimum product RSU's  to support key expiration beyond 2025.
