Issue/Introduction

What is the difference between EXISTING and CREATED file trigger type?

Environment

Workload Automation Agent: 12.0 or above

dSeries: 12.2 or above

Resolution

The EXISTING file trigger job type will look for an existing file.  If the file does not exist or is present then job fails immediately.

The CREATED, will instead, wait for a file to be created and job stays in Monitor state.  The CREATED option can wait for a file to reach a size or for some time (in minutes) after a file has been created
