Issue/Introduction

We had an issue with one of CICS regions which is 6.1 version, with SYSVIEW 17.0 , The problematic transaction is supposed to cancel, and when we tried with testing to capture the message id, those transactions are not cancelling when it reaches 1 min as per our rule changes. 

Environment

SYSVIEW, all releases

Resolution

The customer's rule was the same one as the one that had been working in production and the only change was to cancel at 1 minute instead of 15 minutes.   The rule was coded correctly.

When investigating it was discovered that the CICS regions were showing up twice in the CSCHED screen.   The user was not aware that there were multiple SYSVIEWs on the LPAR and needed to get with their SYSPROG team to understand why there are multiple regions and identify the correct region to test under as the user's login proc was sending them to a different SYSVW region.
