Modern UX: Workspaces supporting Picklist Functionality

Issue/Introduction

Presently the Picklist functionality is available for limited workspaces and not for all in the Modern UX

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Access the Modern UX in Clarity, from the Left Hand Side navigation menu, select the Tasks workspace
2. On the Tasks workspace, select the Grid view
3. Click on the View Options 

Expected Results: The Manage Picklists should be visible under the View Options

Actual Results: The Manage Picklists link option is not visible

All valid Clarity releases

Resolution

This is working as designed. 

In general, presently the picklists option are available in the view options for the grid, for the following workspaces:

• Projects
• Tasks (Module within the Project workspace)
• Ideas
• Investments
• Custom Objects
• Roadmaps
• Teams

Note: This is how presently the system works and may change in future Clarity versions.

Additional Information

Additional Information can be obtained from the following Database Tables, for objects for which the Picklist has been associated.

Reference:

• ODF_PICKLIST_DEF_OBJECTS:

This table shall provide the object details, that is presently referenced with picklist
For example the column: object_code, in the above table shall provide reference to the Object, which the present picklist record references.
The column: Attribute_Code: provides reference to the Object's attribute code that the picklist references
Hence, if the following query shall list out the objects that are presently referencing created picklists:

• SELECT DISTINCT(object_code) FROM ODF_PICKLIST_DEF_OBJECTS
