Issue/Introduction

• Virtual Machine is configured to use Virtual Function with the help of SR-IOV.
• A Virtual Function LAG/bond has to be created inside the Guest OS.

Environment

VMware vSphere ESXi

Resolution

Virtual Function LAG/bond configuration in guest OS with SR-IOV is not supported by the ESXi hypervisor.

Mellanox drivers: This configuration is supported in Mellanox ConnectX drivers after ESX 8.0 Update 3j version with nmlxcli tools (esxcli command line extensions available on the NVIDIA website)
