Issue/Introduction

Running the CARR script to renew expired certificates fails on root password portion with below error:

SSH and root-login are enabled, yet still unable to ssh to NSX manager as root user or successfully run the CARR script.

Environment

VMware NSX 4.1.2

Cause

Although SSH was enabled, the root user is not allowed to login via SSH.  PermitRootLogin is commented out in the /etc/ssh/sshd_config file on the affected NSX appliance.
