Issue/Introduction
When executing the prechecks for VCF installer, the ESA precheck fails with the following errors:
vSAN partition already exist on ESX Host [HOSTNAME]
No storage pool eligible disks found on ESX Host [HOSTNAME]
Below is a screenshot example of the errors in the prechecks:
Cause
This is due to an existing vSAN partition on the disk for the host. Before running through the VCF installer again, these need to be wiped accordingly.
Resolution
Log onto the host UI for the ESX host in question
Navigate to Storage > Disk with the partition table
Select Actions > Clear partition table
After the above action completes, go back to the VCF Installer and run the prechecks again.
