The IN25COB2 process getting SYM013 message.

Issue/Introduction

When processing the Cobol compile listing to the PROTSYM file, getting the SYM013 error as follows:

SYM013 PROTSYM  GET OPTS ERROR R15 = X'08' ERROR CODE = X'14'                 
SYM013 PROTSYM  GET DIR  ERROR R15 = X'08' ERROR CODE = X'14'

The job output also showed the following warning message:

VR20099I VR-VSAM audit,RC=007,RS=006,DD=PROTSYM ,Macrf=8C0000,Flags=0E14208000D80000.

Cause

The 3rd party VSAM management software(DINO-SOFTWARE VELOCI-RAPTOR). 

Resolution

Advise to suppress 3rd party software to not control the PROTSYM (VSAM) file.
