Issue/Introduction

Upgrade of Aria Operations for Logs initiated through Aria Suite Lifecycle, the upgrade fails with an error indicating that the Aria Logs primary node's FQDN is incorrectly identified as localhost.

Environment

Aria Suite Lifecycle 8.18.x

Cause

The Aria Suite Lifecycle database contains outdated or corrupted configuration information for the Aria Operations for Logs environment.

Specifically, the FQDN parameter associated with the Aria Logs node within Aria Suite Lifecycle inventory is incorrectly recorded and displayed as localhost instead of the node's correct FQDN.

Resolution

The incorrect configuration prevents Aria Suite Lifecycle from successfully executing the upgrade process.

Follow the guidance provided in KB article Error LCMCOMMON80001 at stage 3 when upgrading Aria Operations for Logs in Aria Suite Lifecycle (385245) to ensure that all nodes within the Aria Operations for Logs environment are configured with the correct FQDNs.

If the FQDN entries are confirmed to be correct within Aria Operations for Logs, perform an Inventory Synchronization within Aria Suite Lifecycle. This action will refresh Aria Suite Lifecycle database with the correct configuration details.

Once the synchronization is complete and the correct FQDN is displayed in Aria Suite Lifecycle, re-attempt the Aria Operations for Logs upgrade.
