Unable to assign TCP monitor to Load Balancer pool

Issue/Introduction

Error message states "Load Balancer Pool <POOL_NAME> for Edge Gateway <GATEWAY_NAME> can only have PING health monitor as port translation is disabled"

Environment

Cloud Director

AVI Load Balancer

Cause

• If active monitoring is needed, but the ports to be monitored are not explicitly defined, the Avi Load Balancer does not infer them automatically from the defined server ports.
• You must add a health monitor for each port on the servers needing to be monitored.

Resolution

Set the Port Translation to Enabled in the General Settings of the Load Balancer Pool
