Issue/Introduction

How to add routers in NFA.

Environment

NFA 9.x, 10.x, 21.x

Cause

The only way to add devices to NFA is to configure those devices to send Netflow.  Once Netflow is detected, the flow will be processed by NFA and the device will show up.  There is no way to manually add a device to NFA as the device configuration is a requirement.

Resolution

You have to enable netflow commands on the routers and provide Harvester IP as the destination server.

If you router model is not listed in the above page, then contact the vendor or search the web for appropriate netflow commands which need to enabled on that router.
