Issue/Introduction

Temperature snmp trap from ESXi host.

  The temperature is out of the normal range. The system may shut down.

Environment

ESXi 8.x

Resolution

This SNMP trap is not a notification from ESXi, but rather a notification from the server hardware on which ESXi is installed.

You can also use the following command to check the server hardware's IMPI(*) SEL information from ESXi and checking whether a temperature anomaly has occurred.

# localcli hardware ipmi sel list -p -i -n all
