- A new interface in the Support Portal will be available to generate Registry Tokens
- A single Registry Token can be generated that will provide access to all entitled Artifactory repositories under a given support site ID
- Registry Tokens can be revoked or regenerated in the Support Portal interface
- A new API will be introduced to support in-product Registry Token integrations
- A new API will be provided to generate tokens programmatically without having to visit the Support Portal
Note, the enhancements to the Registry Tokens will not impact any existing Download Tokens.
- Registry Tokens are used for container image downloads (i.e. Kubernetes image, database downloads, etc.), cloud downloads, auto-install capabilities for a variety of Software products (i.e. Mainframe, Enterprise, Cyber Security, VCF, Tanzu).
- Download Tokens are used for on-prem VMware software downloads. This functionality is only available to the Product Administrators on the site ID and will not be impacted by the enhancements to the Registry Tokens.
