Transition cluster to vSphere Lifecycle Manager Images using the SDDC Manager API - issue encountered on task "Verify enabled solutions on cluster"

Issue/Introduction

The environment is being upgraded to VCF 9.0.1

The host upgrade is being undertaken.

In a scenario where baselines are in use for clusters, they will need to be transitioned to vSphere Lifecycle Manager Images.

This transition is implemented using the SDDC Manager API, following this document -

It is observed that the task "Verify enabled solutions on cluster" does not complete.

On subtask "Verify enabled solutions on cluster" an error is observed - 

Errors occurred while polling check task for validating solutions in software spec of cluster: cluster_name

 

It is observed on the vSphere UI under cluster > Updates tab > Hosts - Image - 

Host status is unknown

Environment

VCF 9.0.1

Cause

A host in the cluster in question is having network connectivity issues - example: unable to reach its default gateway

Resolution

Resolve the network connectivity issues that the host is having.

Once resolved, the "Verify enabled solutions on cluster" task is expected to complete successfully, and in turn the workflow to transition to vSphere Lifecycle Manager Images is expected to complete successfully.
