Issue/Introduction

BAS12031E  SEQUENCE FIELD (        ) IN PREVIOUS RECORD IS IN ERROR         

BAS12030E  MAUPDTE TERMINATED WITH ERRORS                                 

BAS12011I  MAUPDTE HIGHEST RETURN CODE IS 998     JOB-STEP: jobname-stepname

All MICS releases.

Cause

A sequence number is missing in a member that the PSP apply job needs to update with MAUPDTE.

Resolution

1. Review the messages in the SYSPRINT for the step that failed and search for BAS12023I  ***ERROR*** .  This will tell you the line that does not have a sequence number.

2. Edit the member listed on the CONTROL statement - BAS12023I  -----CONTROL - ./ CHANGE  NAME=. - to correct the line with the blank sequence number.

3. Restart the apply job in the step that failed or rerun the entire apply job.

Additional Information

You will also receive a BAS12031E message if the sequence number is out of order.
