How will changing the MS SQL SA user name impact the AutoSys Application

Issue/Introduction

Our DB team is planning to retire the “sa” account and replace it with an alternative user.

A new account “sql_admin” will be created with equivalent privileges.

We would like to confirm if this change will have any impact on your application, either for current connectivity or for any future installation or upgrade activities.

Please share your validation at the earliest so we can proceed accordingly.

AutoSys 12.x, 24.x
WCC 12.x ,24.x

Resolution

In a default installation of AutoSys using MS SQL Server, the SA account is used only during install and upgrade and is not stored in the application.
As long as when doing the installation of Autosys and WCC, you did not replace the suggested database users' information with SA, then this will not be a  problem

When doing upgrades or new installs, you can provide the new username and password that have SA-equivalent permissions, and the installation will work as expected.
