Issue/Introduction

Error experienced:  (FWB 00031) error when scheduling documents to the File System destination

Symptoms:  

  • Error occurs when scheduling documents to the File System destination in BI Launchpad
  • Error message: "Destination disabled. []: [CrystalEnterprise.DiskUnmanaged].
  • Please note the name of the job server used for your request and contact your system administrator to make sure the specified destination is enabled. (FWB 00031)"

Steps to reproduce Issue:

  1. Log into BI Launchpad.
  2. Right click any Web Intelligence document or Crystal Reports report and select Schedule.
  3. In the Schedule window, select Destinations from the left pane.
  4. Select File System from the Destination drop-down list, specify the Directory and then click Schedule.
  5. Check the instance status which shows "Failed", click "Failed" to display the error message.

 

Cause

 The "File System" destination is not enabled in the Adaptive Job Server.

Environment

SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Platform 4.0/4.1 implemented with SDM 12.9 and SDM 14.1

Resolution

To address:
  1. Log onto Central Management Console (CMC).
  2. Click Servers, right-click Adaptive Job Server and select Destination.
  3. From the Destination drop-down list, select File System and then click Add.
  4. Provide User name in sAMAccountName format i.e. DOMAIN\UserName and Directory path as UNC path i.e. \\ServerName\ShareFolder\
  5. Click Save & Close.
  6. Now scheduling documents to File System in BI Launchpad will be successful.
