Deployment of Aria Operations Cloud-Proxy fails with Error: Creation Status: Failed to decode OTK.

Issue/Introduction

After deploying the Aria Operations Cloud Proxy in vCenter server the Cloud proxy does not appear in Aria Operations UI.

On VM console in vcenter we see Creation Status: Failed to decode OTK..CPRC will not be properly configured.

Environment

Aria Operations 8.18.x

Cause

The Unique Registration Key expires 24 hours after generation. To avoid using an expired key, click Regenerate Key (refresh icon) before proceeding.

Resolution

To avoid using an old key, manually click on the refresh Icon just before the finishing the deployment and provide a fresh key.

Make sure to power on the appliance within 24 hours of deployment.
