Evaluation license remains after applying a license to ESX with Host Client

Issue/Introduction

When applying a license with Host Client, 

• Evaluation license remains after applying a license
• "License key is valid" message appears after clicking "CHECK LICENSE"
• No error is not observed
• The number of cores in the license is grater than the total number of cores on the host

Environment

VMware vSphere ESX 8.x

Cause

The license doesn't have enough cores.

VCF license needs at least 16 cores / physical CPU.

For example, more than 32 cores are required if the host have 2 physical CPU.

Resolution

Increase the number of cores in the license.
