"NSX-T Edge Node Roll-up Status is down" alert in Aria Operation for Networks

Issue/Introduction

•  Aria Operation for Network reports overall status of the edge is down with below alert 
  
  

• The alert auto resolves in 2 minutes in UI. 

Environment

Aria Operations for Networks 6.12.0

Aria Operations for Networks 6.14.1

Cause

• The above alert generated in Aria Operation for Networks is based on response from NSX API 'transport-node/status' that has overall status of Edge also known as Roll-up status in Aria Operation for Networks. Below is a sample response payload 
  
  
  
  
  
  
• If the API transport-node/status has response payload with status 'down', we will see an alert reporting 'Edge Roll-up Status is down' in Aria Operation for Networks.

Resolution

The Edge Node status APIs are called every 2 minutes by AoN and based on the response payload, an alert is generated in Aria Operation for Networks. 

The Edge and its components (like tunnel, pNIC interfaces and their status) should be further reviewed on NSX.
