Issue/Introduction

  • Virtual machines are not restarted on another host when the host is isolated.
  • After the host's isolation status returns to normal, multiple failed failover events occur in vCenter.
  • The uplinks used by the ESXi host's management network and vSAN network are separate vmnics.

Environment

VMware vSAN

Cause

The isolation address is not set as the vSAN network gateway, and the Host isolation response is set to "Shut down and restart VMs."

Resolution

Set the vSAN network gateway to the isolation address.
Set the Host isolation response to "Power off and restart."

Additional Information
