How to disable SAML or OpenID if the breakGlass URL does not work in Identity Governance?

Issue/Introduction

The SAML / OpenID configuration for Identity Governance is not working, and we cannot access Governance to disable SAML / OpenID.   The breakGlass URL, https://<IG_Hostname>:port/eurekify/portal?breakGlass=true is also not allowing access into Governance.   

How can we disable SAML / OpenID?

Cause

The SAML / OpenID not working is an environmental issue, the breakGlass URL is a product issue that can appear in some rare situations.  

Resolution

Using your Database administration tool, log into the Identity Governance database directly. 

Navigate to the Properties table, locate the PropertyName saml.sp.enabled.saml.authentication, change from true to false:

Restart the Governance service and access Governance as normal.
