Issue/Introduction

Question:

We are trying to upgrade our environment and when we run the RJOB09 to update the SYSDIRL dictionary we are getting a 1211 error status. What is the best way to increase the size of the SYSDIRL dictionary?

 

Answer:

 

If you are sure that there are no user application entities in that dictionary, other than the DIRL entities and Culprit Report modules that IDMS installs, you should be able to format the area. Job 9 will store all needed entities in that dictionary. You could also format at a larger size if you want. You just need to be sure that you haven't stored any site specific info into that dictionary.
