An administrator reported after AWS outage on 20th Oct all the protection groups went into critical state.

This is a known issue where the connector fails to restore connectivity to Scale-Out Cloud File System (SCFS) after the max attempts due to the AWS outage that occurred on 10/20/2025.
Restarting the Ethernet port on SCFS resolves this issue, however only vLCR engineering team can do this.
Gather the below information from the customer and open a PR for vLCR engineering to restart the SCFS port:
